Hey @Galdous - I’ve moved your thread to Community.

When did this issue become present and are you running a 32 or 64 bit operating system?

#3

When I update to the latest version yesterday. Then I restarted my pc then it occured. 64 bit.

From our AC team:

Are you using a cracked/modified version of Windows? FACEIT.sys is automatically unloaded in safe mode to prevent these kind of issues, but this error appears before the file is even loaded.
Have you tried to go in Windows repair? Automatic repair might solve it, otherwise you can go in a command prompt inside the Automatic repair, and type the following:

  1. C:
  2. cd C:/Windows/System32/drivers
  3. del FACEIT.sys
Then just reboot and Windows should load just fine.

Could you also please open a ticket with our support team and let me know the ticket number? https://support.faceit.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

I also got this problem today, right after a Windows update.
It did not boot, so I deleted the file manually. Then I was able to boot again.
I uninstalled faceit and made sure the file was deleted. I installed it. Same again, after a forced restart from the AC, it went to Bluescreen.
I don’t know what to do now.

Thank you FACEIT, for bricking my Windows install with your garbage spyware, causing infinite bluescreens on boot.

Lucky for me, I’m dual booting Gentoo Linux so i was able to mount the Windows disk and delete the FACEIT.sys like this.

I very much doubt your average users have the technical skills to mount and delete your malicious ‘driver’ from their Windows partition.

This is completely unacceptable.
