Welcome to the official FACEIT Forums, a place for players to come together and discuss topics both related to the platform, your games, and anything else that abides by the guidelines outlines below. Keep in mind that we’re all human here, keep it civilsed, and you’ll be golden.
The key rule to follow; use your common sense! Just because a specific rule is not covered explicitly within these guidelines, doesn’t mean it’s acceptable behaviour.
Please also keep in mind that, due to the nature of guidelines, they are fluid and subject to change. Check up on them on occasion so they don’t get lonely, and you keep yourself updated!

We hold our players to a high regard in terms of their conduct while on the platform and in our forums. While, being gamers ourselves, we know that things can get heated in the moment and tempers rise, we expect all our players to be civil and courteous to the other players on the forum.
While we know and can appreciate that our players come from all over the world, it can be difficult to allow multiple languages within a public forum. Not only is it difficult for other players to understand what you’re trying to say (thereby killing the conversation for a lot of players), it also makes it difficult or nigh impossible to moderate your posts. We cannot rely on translation tools to accurately translate your post and guarantee there won’t be any miscommunication.
Because of this, at this time, we only allow English to be spoken on the forums. Any posts not written in English will unfortunately be removed.
Being a forum, you may be so inclined to ask for help while here. That’s perfectly fine and we encourage players to help other players, however; you may find that a lot of the isses you need help with will require a Support Ticket.
If a moderator or staff member deem your post as requiring a Support Ticket, they will reply to your thread telling you as such, pointing you towards the Support Team, and close the thread. Please do not be annoyed at this - it’s purely to keep the systems we have in place working operationally. The Support Team is incredibly busy, and trying to offer support on the forums is not within our scope.
This also includes following up on Support Tickets on the forums, or asking that your ticket is looked at further. Anything of this nature will need to be directed to your Support Ticket and dealt with directly by the Customer Support team.
If you have an issue, please direct it mainly towards the Support Team via a Support Ticket.
The FACEIT Forum is filled with players who love to use the FACEIT platform. Some of these players are kind enough to assist in the moderation of the forums, and do you know what? They rock for doing that!
Please do keep in mind that these players are freely volunteering their own time to do this and are not staff of FACEIT. We would expect that all players on the forum would show each other, including the moderators, the respect they all deserve.
We take the security of our players incredibly seriously. Our forums are a safe enviornment for players to chill out and discuss their favourite topics, not a place where other players can share information found through ill-gotten means.
Any personal information that is released about other players or FACEIT employees on the forums will be removed and the user(s) in question will be reprimanded appropriately.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Legal names
- Email Addresses
- Physical Addresses
- Places of interest to a user
- Pictures of players, family, etc.
You may wish to respond to something by disagreeing with it. That’s fine. But remember to criticize ideas, not people. Please avoid:
- Ad hominem attacks
- Nationalistic attacks
- Xenophobic attacks
- Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content
- Knee-jerk contradiction
Instead, provide reasoned counter-arguments that improve the conversation.
No cheat sources or illegal activities will be prompted to discussed within the FACEIT forums. Any discussions or promotions seen will be removed and the user(s) in question reprimanded severely.
Please keep in mind that, while your intentions may be innocent and you’re just trying to bring a cheat or illegal activity to our attention, by doing so you are in turn promoting that in a public space. If you wish to report items like this, please open a support ticket.
The majority of us will be familiar with memes, but keep it within a reasonable limit. You don’t need to run around every thread and post the same meme over and over again. It’ll be removed, and you’ll look like a dumb-dumb.
On that same line of thinking, while we may allow self-promotion for creators, don’t go overboard. Posting your links everywhere will not only deter users from clicking them, but they clog up every post.
Moderators have special authority; they are responsible for this forum. But so are you. With your help, moderators can be community facilitators, not just janitors or police.
When you see bad behavior, don’t reply. It encourages the bad behavior by acknowledging it, consumes your energy, and wastes everyone’s time. Just flag it. If enough flags accrue, action will be taken, either automatically or by moderator intervention.
In order to maintain our community, moderators reserve the right to remove any content and any user account for any reason at any time. Moderators do not preview new posts; the moderators and site operators take no responsibility for any content posted by the community.
Make the effort to put things in the right place, so that we can spend more time discussing and less cleaning up. So:
- Don’t start a topic in the wrong category.
- Don’t cross-post the same thing in multiple topics.
- Don’t post no-content replies.
- Don’t divert a topic by changing it midstream.
- Don’t sign your posts — every post has your profile information attached to it.
Rather than posting “+1” or “Agreed”, use the Like button. Rather than taking an existing topic in a radically different direction, use Reply as a Linked Topic.
You may not post anything digital that belongs to someone else without permission. You may not post descriptions of, links to, or methods for stealing someone’s intellectual property (software, video, audio, images), or for breaking any other law.
If you find something cool online, by all means, share it, but make sure to credit the original creator of said cool thing. Don’t be a jerk!
This site is operated by your friendly local staff and you, the community. If you have any further questions about how things should work here, open a new topic in the site feedback category and let’s discuss! If there’s a critical or urgent issue that can’t be handled by a meta topic or flag, contact us via the staff page.
Yes, legalese is boring, but we must protect ourselves – and by extension, you and your data – against unfriendly folks. We have a Terms of Service describing your (and our) behavior and rights related to content, privacy, and laws. To use this service, you must agree to abide by our TOS.
